Normal Baby Stuff

My son woke up at 5am this morning. He normally wakes up with the sun, but not today. He wanted to play. I tried to get him to lie back down, but he was not having it. So we played. Mommy a bit more groggily than baby.

I put his stuffed lamb on my head. He giggled and snatched it off--then hit me over the head with it repeatedly. Then, we read three books, I Love You Stinky Face, The Runaway Bunny, and My Many Colored Days. Then we read them again, since he wanted to keep turning the pages.

We watched a little "Big Block Sing Song" because mommy needed a break for a minute. Then Little Buddha went  back in his crib--he wanted to walk around. He also wanted toys, so I put his ball, taggie, car, and both lambs (wooden and stuffed) in the crib. Shortly after he threw them all out of the crib and cried until I picked them up and put them back. Repeat this last step several times.

Finally, he held up his arms for mommy to pick him up, which I did. He was cuddly. We snuggled and rubbed noses and he blew his nose on my shirt. He started to yawn and rub his eyes, so I rocked him in my arms until he fell asleep.

He is curled up next to me now as I type this. So sweet. My totally normal baby boy.
